1. Scope and controller
This Privacy Policy applies to the Maps Ruler application for iOS and iPadOS (the “App”). The data controller is MobileRise LTD (“MobileRise”, “we”, “us”).

2. Information the App handles
Location and measurement information
- Precise or approximate location when you grant location permission, including location coordinates, accuracy, altitude, speed, and timestamps provided by iOS.
- Measurement content such as map points, paths, polygons, circles, distances, areas, project names, notes, styles, and saved history.
- Search information such as place names or addresses you enter. Search queries and network information such as your IP address may be processed by the selected geocoding provider.
Device, advertising, and consent information
- An app-instance identifier, app and device information, approximate location derived from IP address, app lifecycle events, feature interactions, and purchase events may be processed by Firebase Analytics to measure use of the App. Maps Ruler does not set a Firebase user ID.
- Device and app information, operating-system version, language, IP address, advertising or similar identifiers where available, ad impressions and interactions, diagnostics, and fraud-prevention signals may be processed by Google Mobile Ads.
- Your advertising consent choices and, where applicable, your App Tracking Transparency choice are processed or stored so the App can respect them.
Purchase information
When you buy or restore Maps Ruler Pro, Apple processes the payment. The App receives product, transaction, purchase-status, and entitlement information needed to complete or restore the purchase. MobileRise does not receive your full payment-card details.
Files you choose to import, export, or share
The App processes measurement files you explicitly select for import and creates export files when you request them. A file leaves the App only when you choose a destination or sharing service.
3. How information is used
- Show your position on the map and calculate distances, areas, and GPS paths.
- Save and restore measurements, projects, history, preferences, and Pro entitlement on your device.
- Return map content and place-search results.
- Measure app launches, feature interactions, purchase events, and other usage trends to understand and improve the App.
- Display, limit, personalize where permitted, and measure advertising; record privacy choices; and prevent fraud.
- Process and restore App Store purchases.
- Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
Depending on the feature and your location, processing is based on your request to provide the App’s services, your consent, MobileRise’s legitimate interests in security and service reliability, or compliance with law. You may withdraw permissions or consent without affecting processing that was already lawful.

These providers may process information in countries other than your own under their own privacy terms and applicable transfer safeguards. MobileRise does not sell your saved measurement content.
5. Advertising and App Tracking Transparency
The free version of Maps Ruler may display banner, interstitial, and app-open ads through Google Mobile Ads. The App requests advertising consent where required. You can reopen available advertising privacy controls from Other → About → Ad permissions.
This version does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and does not access the advertising identifier for cross-app tracking. Ads may still be shown using contextual or otherwise permitted information. If a future version requests tracking permission, the App will access tracking data only after you choose Allow, and this policy and the App Store privacy label will be updated.
6. Storage, retention, and security
Saved measurements, projects, history, preferences, and generated files are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share them. They remain until you delete them in the App, remove exported files from their destination, clear the App’s data where supported, or uninstall the App.
MobileRise does not operate an account or cloud-measurement service for this version of Maps Ruler. Third-party providers retain analytics, advertising, map, search, consent, diagnostic, or purchase information according to their own policies and legal obligations.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections where supported. No system or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your choices and rights
- Location: Change precise, approximate, or foreground location access in iOS Settings.
- Tracking: If a future version requests tracking permission, you can change that permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Advertising consent: Use the App’s Ad permissions item when a privacy-options form is required in your region.
- Local data: Delete saved measurements in the App and remove exported files from their destination. Uninstalling the App removes its local container, subject to iOS backup behavior.
- Purchases: Manage purchases and payment information through your Apple ID and the App Store.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding personal information controlled by MobileRise. Contact us at support@mobilerise.com. We may need to verify your request. Requests concerning information controlled by Apple, Google, or another provider should also be directed to that provider.
Children
Maps Ruler is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly request children to provide personal information directly to MobileRise.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the App, its providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain available at this URL.
